104.1 WLBC, 104.9 WERK FM and the City of Muncie invite you to attend “Set the Night to Music” on July 4th at the levee in downtown Muncie to see and hear one of the most stunning fireworks displays in years! The musical soundtrack accompanying the fireworks will be broadcast live on WLBC and WERK FM.
Featuring the Longest Muncie Display Ever!
Since the City of Muncie is celebrating its 150th birthday, the fireworks will be better and longer than ever before. This year the fireworks display will be computer-controlled and specifically synchronized to the music accompanying the fireworks. This will result in an even more powerful and emotional patriotic experience for attendees.
The fireworks are expected to start shoot at 10 p.m. Saturday, July 4th. Together, We’ll Set The Night To Music!
So, bring your portable radio and listen to the synchronized music on WERK FM and WLBC. In addition, all your favorite WLBC and WERK on-air personalities will be on-location for you to meet.
You can park for FREE at the Northside Middle School and former Southside HS parking lots and ride the MITS bus to-and- from the fireworks for FREE. Buses will leave every 15 minutes, starting at 8PM and continue until the fireworks begin at dusk. After the fireworks conclude, shuttle buses will return you to your car. How convenient is that? (Very convenient!)
Anticipating the excitement of the fireworks to come is half the fun!
All MITS buses are air conditioned and fully accessible to people with disabilities. You are welcome to bring your lawn chairs, etc. on the shuttle buses. However, open food and beverage containers are not allowed. For more information about the shuttle or any MITS service, call 289-6487.
