Muncie, IN—The Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County, Inc., has announced the 2016 recipients of the Community Foundation Scholarship. The Community Foundation Scholarship is awarded to students who were selected by their individual schools as Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship nominees. The Community Foundation recognizes the outstanding achievements of these students with a $500 scholarship. Consideration was given to student activities and achievements, community and civic service, academic ability and potential for leadership.
- Julianna Anderson of Heritage Hall Christian School plans to study nursing at Indiana Wesleyan University. She is the daughter of Dr. Drew and Mrs. Staci Anderson.
- Sarah Bade of Yorktown High School plans to attend Taylor University. She is the daughter of Chris and Michelle Bade.
- Theresa Bitterman of the Indiana Academy for Science, Mathematics, and Humanities plans to study engineering at Purdue University. She is the daughter of Duke and Katja Bittermann.
- Laura Buckles of Muncie Central High School plans to study informatics at Indiana University. She is the daughter of Craig and Cindy Buckles.
- Diana Campbell of Cowan Jr./Sr. High School plans to study pre-physician assistance at Ball State University. She is the daughter of Scott and Brenda Campbell.
- Isaac Derkach of Muncie Central High School plans to study music business at Anderson University. He is the son of Kelli Derkach.
- Kyle Gardiner of Wapahani High School plans to study engineering at Purdue University. He is the son of Brent Gardiner and Stacey Gardiner.
- Matt Hapner of Delta High School plans to study computer science at Taylor University. He is the son of John and Kim Hapner.
- Rebecca Hollowell of Muncie Central High School plans to study business management and marketing at Trine University. She is the daughter of John and LaDonna Hollowell.
