Find a world of puzzles, explore girls’ experiences and how they’ve changed American history, and see yourself in an exhibit of portraits featuring our community. 2023 will be full of wonder with something for everyone.
Mindbender Mansion
January 14–May 7

Adults and children will be dazzled by the wonderfully puzzling world of Mindbender Mansion, an eclectic exhibit full of puzzles, brainteasers, and interactive challenges guaranteed to test the brain power and problem-solving skills of even the most experienced puzzlers.

33rd Minnetrista Annual Juried Art Show

Discover Indiana’s artists and their Hoosier creativity during Minnetrista’s Annual Juried Art Show, now in its 33rd year! Enjoy (and even purchase!) works of fine art selected by this year’s juror Shaun Thomas Dingwerth, the Executive Director at the Richmond Art Museum in Richmond, Indiana.
Indiana Waterways: The Art of Conservation

The brainchild of five Hoosier artists, this traveling exhibit was born from their desire to use the COVID lockdown to capture the growing urgency of catastrophic environmental inattention. The Oakhurst Gallery is the perfect setting for this show, with dozens of plein air paintings featuring Indiana’s rivers, streams and tributaries, along with an illustrated art book of essays highlighting the need for increased conservation and restoration.
World Touring Premiere – Girlhood: It’s Complicated

Created by the National Museum of American History and the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service, Minnetrista will be the world premiere venue for this exhibition’s national tour, its first stop outside Washington D.C.! Explore the diversity of girls’ experiences and how girls have changed American history in this enlightening exhibit. Girls are made of strong stuff and they’ve been on the front lines of change throughout American history – don’t miss this groundbreaking exhibit during its only stop in Indiana!
Girlhood (It’s complicated), an exhibition of the Smithsonian’s American Women’s History Initiative, was created by the National Museum of American History and the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service.
A Minnetrista Original – A Community Portrait

Minnetrista will tell the story of our region through the portraits of those who live here (including you!). This exhibit will be the culmination of several OneByOne Community Portrait photography eventshappening in a variety of locations in the lead-up to the exhibit.

This juried art competition and exhibition, created in partnership with Muncie’s Red-Tail Land Conservancy, encourages Indiana artists to derive creative inspiration from the land around us.
A Minnetrista Original – Crisis Canning

This exhibit will explore the history of canning, unpacking how difficult periods in American history including wars, economic struggles, and pandemics have transformed canning from a typical mode of food preservation to a form of emergency planning.
