MUNCIE, IN – The Muncie Civic Theatre is excited to announce its First Annual Fundraiser, “A Civic Soirée: The Great Gatsby Gala,” set to take place on October 26, 2024 at the Muncie Civic Theatre. This dazzling event, inspired by the Roaring Twenties, promises to be an unforgettable evening of elegance and entertainment – all in support of the arts and youth theatre programs that Muncie Civic Theatre brings to the community.

Guests will dress to the nines in their best 1920s attire to enjoy an evening filled with dancing, decadent desserts, prohibition-era cocktails in the secret speakeasy, and live entertainment that features a performance by Miss Indiana, Kalyn Melham. Guests can also enjoy a pre-gala dinner at Vera Mae’s Bistro, where a portion of the proceeds will benefit the theatre’s fundraising efforts.

“We are so excited to share the launch of this new tradition of an Arts Gala to support the many skilled artists in our community,” said Maura Hoff, Muncie Civic Theatre Board President. “From visual artists to performers to musicians, the incredible depth of local talent needs places to shine and share their expressions of creativity. I hope you’ll join us for this fabulous night ‘amongst the stars’ in support of the arts in Muncie.”

The funds raised from this event will support the theatre’s ongoing commitment to fostering creativity, providing opportunities for young people through its youth theatre programs, and celebrating the impact of the arts in our community.
