MUNCIE, IN—On Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. the Unitarian Universalist Church of Muncie (UUCM) will hold its annual church bazaar. Fondly called the “Bazaar in the Woods,” and considered by many to be the highlight of Muncie’s fall bazaar season, this bazaar will be the church’s 126th, and it promises to be another great event.
Mary and Kirk Robey are chairs for this year’s bazaar. They shared these thoughts:
“As chairs for the 126th Unitarian Universalist Church of Muncie Bazaar, we are excited to bring back favorite church booths like food, used books, and collectibles as well as newer booths like puzzles and textiles. Many of the crafts people and artists are returning such as David Calvin and Pat Kleeburg, and we’re excited to add new artists this year to our Bazaar including Lee Ann Powell. Come enjoy our famous cinnamon buns for breakfast at 8 a.m., or enjoy a bowl of chili at noon, and then spend time browsing and shopping the wide array of beautiful and useful selections at the bazaar.”
There are numerous other regular booths which draw people in, too. The Encore! Fashion Boutique offers gently used clothes and is always popular, and a great way to stretch your clothing dollars. From dresses, to skirts, to shirts, and sweaters, and even accessories, there will be lots to choose from.
For those who enjoy decorating with greenery, the plant booth is always popular. Plants both large and small will be available at great prices, as well as pots and other gardening items.
A silent auction will offer a variety of special items, and visitors won’t want to miss the chance to win the beautiful hand-crafted quilt called “Lilypad” created by a group of UUCM church folks and raffled off on Nov 2.
Vendors offering handmade wooden items, pottery, and glass one-of-a-kinds will be on hand, too— perfect for picking up special holiday gifts for family and friends.
The week after the bazaar, the public is invited back to shop at UUCM’s Rummage Sale on Saturday, November 9, 2024, from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. There are always great deals to be found.
