That’s how Jay Demaree, owner of J.Demaree Construction does business. The construction side of the business includes: Free Consulting for homeowners, Design, Room Additions, Basement and Attic Finishing, Decks and Porches, Kitchen and Bath remodels, New Home Construction, Roofing and Underfloor Repair, Tile & Flooring, Moving Weight Bearing Walls, and Window & Door Replacement.

Besides the construction division, J. Demaree Construction recently introduced their new Drywall, Stucco and Plaster Division. “Plaster installation is a dying art,” said Jay. “So, to have that skill within the community to install plaster is a benefit. It is rare to find skilled trades people with the skill to install it.”

“We feel like having a physical place of business gives us solidarity in the community,” says Jay. “Many contractors work out of their homes, but having someone available to answer the phone and talk to customers is a big deal deal to us. We strive to offer personal service.”

Jay has 25 years of experience in the construction business and started his company in 2012. He employs between 8-12 local skilled trades people depending upon the time of year. In fact he emphasizes purchasing locally. “We use local vendors whenever we can,” he said. “We use local architects, local land surveyors, local interior designers. We have developed good relationships with our local vendors and that results in quality workmanship for our customers. ”
