Farmhouse Creative has been presented with the annual Economic Development and Growth Through Entrepreneurship (EDGE) Award. Presented by the Indiana Small Business Development Center (ISBDC), The EDGE awards are given to businesses who receive no-cost counseling from the organization and utilize these resources to maximize their ability to grow their business in Indiana. The EDGE award ceremony concluded the Igniting Indiana Entrepreneurship Week in Indiana.
During a program on June 19th, Farmhouse Creative won in the Established Business category. Angie Rogers-Howell started Farmhouse Creative with her final paycheck to fund the business. Since that time, her company expanded to offer web design services and acquired Printing Creations of Yorktown following the retirement of that company’s owner.
Farmhouse Creative received the Muncie-Delaware County Chamber of Commerce 2014 Spirit of Small Business Award. Angie is active in the community, serving as the chair of the Catalyst for Empowering Women and ATHENA Awards Luncheon for the Muncie chapter of Women in Business Unlimited (WIBU).
Angie is honored to have received this award and attributes much of Farmhouse Creative’s success to working with her business adviser at the ISBDC. When asked what why she chooses to utilize the ISBDC, Angie responded, “Running a business is hard work. But having a trusted adviser who is in your corner is key. From being a sounding board for potential ideas, advice on how to grow, or just keeping me accountable for the goals I set for the company, having the ISBDC on my side has made a real difference.”
