Muncie, IN – Sara Shade, retiring 2015-2016 President of the Muncie Rotary Club, recently presided over the installation ceremonies for the installation of new officers and directors for the 2016-2017 Rotary year, which began July 1st. Officers are elected to 1-year terms, while members of the Board of Directors are elected to staggered 3-year terms, so one class of directors is elected each year to replace the class which is retiring.

The Muncie Rotary Club, affiliated with the global service organization Rotary International, was founded in 1917 by a group of local business executives, professionals and community leaders. Muncie Rotary is a catalyst for community leadership, professional development, friendships, service and international understanding. The Club meets on Tuesdays at noon at Minnetrista for lunch, networking, a business meeting and a feature program. Membership is by invitation.
