MUNCIE, IN—The Yorktown, Indiana Chamber of Commerce recognized Lena Reid, Communications Manager at Destination: Muncie, with the Community Impact Award during the Chamber’s annual awards celebration in December at Westminster Village.
The Community Impact Award honors individuals whose leadership, service, and dedication make a meaningful difference in the Yorktown community and surrounding region. Reid was recognized for her ongoing commitment to strengthening community connections, local storytelling, and initiatives that enhance the quality of place throughout Delaware County.
In her role at Destination: Muncie, Reid leads communications efforts that highlight the people, places, and experiences that define the region. Her work as Ambassador Chair helps residents and visitors stay informed about what’s happening in Yorktown and encourages engagement that supports the local economy and surrounding communities.
“I’m truly honored to receive this award,” Reid said. “I’m grateful to work alongside so many passionate community partners and to help share what makes Yorktown and Delaware County such incredible places to live, work, and visit.”
Chamber leaders noted that Reid exemplifies the spirit of the Community Impact Award through her collaborative approach, professionalism, and genuine care for the communities she serves.
“Lena Reid is a team player with an incredible eye for detail and a deep passion for community betterment,” said Marissa Earls, Membership Chair of the Yorktown Chamber. “Under her leadership, the Annual Picnic on the Green saw record participation, improved marketing reach, and renewed community excitement. Her belief in our community and drive to make it thrive shine through in every role she takes on. Delaware County is stronger, more connected, and more vibrant because of her efforts,” said Earls.
