MUNCIE, IN—They’re at it again! Father and son duo Thomas and Christopher Peek are set to release their second children’s book, “Capy & Pug Pug: GET SPOOKY,” on October 18 via Amazon. This spooky sequel follows their summer 2023 debut, “Capy & Pug Pug.”

In this Halloween adventure, Capy & Pug Pug join forces with their bat friend Babbles. When the mischievous goblin Glumbo tricks them, our heroes must save Halloween’s spirit in the magical town of Spookville.

Returning illustrator Lee Jackson brings the characters to life with vibrant artwork. Jackson and Peek’s friendship dates back over a decade to their time working at Muncie AMC theaters. New to the team is editor Suella Raggette, who Peek met at a Jeff Beck and Johnny Depp concert in late 2022. Raggette’s expertise ensures the story flows smoothly for young readers.

Peek drew inspiration primarily from Tim Burton’s films, often writing and designing while listening to Danny Elfman’s iconic scores. Peek’s son Christopher’s love for Halloween made him an enthusiastic partner in this spooky project.

The Capy & Pug Pug series showcases the Peeks’ storytelling prowess, blending whimsical characters with imaginative plots. Their collaborative process highlights the unique dynamic of this father-son creative team.

“GET SPOOKY” promises to deliver a delightful mix of friendship, adventure, and gentle frights, perfect for young readers and Halloween enthusiasts alike. The book’s themes of teamwork and problem solving are seamlessly woven into a fun, seasonal narrative.

Looking ahead, fans can anticipate a third Capy & Pug Pug installment in 2025. Meanwhile, the Peeks plan to explore short film projects, demonstrating their versatility across different media.

Their debut book, “Capy & Pug Pug,” is currently available on Amazon. The Halloween-themed follow-up, “Capy & Pug Pug: GET SPOOKY,” launches on October 18, just in time for spooky season celebrations.

This father and son duo are excited to share their imaginative stories with the world, whether through the pages of a book or on the silver screen. Their passion for storytelling shines through in each project, promising more delightful tales to come.

Happy reading, and Happy Halloween.
