MUNCIE, IN—On April 13th, local car enthusiasts and supporters gathered at Walls Furniture, a local Muncie furniture store, for a thrilling showcase of automotive beauty and generosity. The fundraising event, organized by Walls Furniture, saw many classic and contemporary vehicles on display, all for a noble cause.
From noon until 4 PM, the parking lot buzzed with excitement as visitors admired the cool, sleek designs and vibrant colors of the showcased cars. The atmosphere was filled with camaraderie and shared passion for automobiles, while also having a family atmosphere for people of all ages. There was a food truck from “A-Team Concessions” as well as a bounce house and a local firetruck for kids to engage with outside of the cars, making it a memorable day for all attendees.
The primary purpose behind this gathering was to support the Erskine Green Training Institute based in downtown Muncie through a charitable endeavor. EGTI takes the time to work with people with disabilities after high school and train them to be able to enter the workforce, giving them an opportunity once not known to them, and Walls Furniture spared no effort in ensuring that every dollar raised contributed to this cause. The community responded with overwhelming support, turning out in large numbers and generously contributing to the event.
Among the highlights of the day were the award presentations, recognizing standout participants and contributors. Paul Davis earned the prestigious title of “Best of Show,” impressing judges and onlookers alike with his remarkable vehicle. Ian Price captured the hearts of the younger attendees, winning the “Kids’ Choice” award with his captivating car. Additionally, Dakota Little emerged as the “Biggest Donor,” demonstrating exceptional generosity and commitment to the cause.
Overall, it was a great day for everyone involved and the weather turned out to be amazing for the show.
