MUNCIE, IN—IU Health is broadening access to care for minor illnesses and injuries for those in Muncie and surrounding communities with the launch of its newest urgent care.
Co-located in the same building as the IU Health Imaging Center, the new urgent care will also house an IU Health Employer Solutions clinic, which will offer care to city, county, and school employees. The new urgent care opens on Monday, Dec. 11 at 2598 West White River Boulevard in Muncie, Indiana.
“We are excited to launch our newest urgent care in the East Central Region,” says Lyndsay Adams, MSN, RN, director, Urgent Care, System Health Solutions. “It not only serves as a convenient, affordable care option for local residents, but also as another access point to drive referrals into the system, offering our patients a solid continuum of care.”
Friends, families and neighbors are invited to help celebrate the launch on Saturday, Dec. 9, before it officially opens for business. A ribbon cutting ceremony will begin at 1 PM, and participants will also have the opportunity to tour the center as part of an open house. The event will also include a visit from the North Pole’s very own Santa Claus and a coffee and hot chocolate station.
“As a cornerstone of community well-being, the new IU Health Urgent Care stands as a testament to our commitment to accessible, timely healthcare,” says Jeff Bird, MD, president, IU Health East Central Region. “We’re dedicated to fostering a healthier community, providing vital services with compassion and convenience at the forefront.”
