MUNCIE, IN— The Ball State Cardinal Varsity Club (CVC) is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated 2023 Cardinal Golf Classic Silent Auction sponsored by Stoops Automotive. The auction begins Monday, Aug. 7 at 8:00 a.m. ET, providing Cardinal fans with a unique opportunity to bid on exclusive experiences and other merchandise. The auction is scheduled to close at 6:00 p.m. ET on Friday, Aug. 11, coinciding with the conclusion of the 2023 Cardinal Golf Classic. The silent auction, which is expected to raise important dollars for the CVC, has been organized by Co-Chairs, Rhonda Wilson and Carey Fisher. Wilson is the Executive Director of Human Resources, Engagement, Wellbeing and Culture at BSU and a member of the BSU Athletic Hall of Fame as part of the 1994 Women’s Volleyball team. Fisher is a former MAC volleyball player, a local business person, and actively involved in community philanthropy.
Casey Stanley, CVC President, emphasized the profound impact of every dollar raised: “Every contribution to this auction serves a profound purpose in supporting our student athletes’ growth and future success. The consistent commitment of our alumni and fans helps pave the way for lifelong opportunities for these talented individuals.”
Featuring an extraordinary collection of experiences, it signals a renewed and innovative effort to connect Cardinal fans with their favorite sports programs, coaches, and players. Among the experiences available for bid are coveted sideline passes and seats for the Indianapolis Colts, meals with former Ball State players and renowned professional athletes including four-time NFL Pro Bowler Blaine Bishop. Additionally, participants can bid for a memorable round of golf with Head Men’s Basketball Coach Michael Lewis or embark on a remarkable trip with private air travel to Miami, Florida, to witness Ball State’s thrilling clash against the Miami (FL) Hurricanes in 2024. Exciting opportunities also include traveling with the baseball team to an away game or leading the football team onto the field for a home game, creating unforgettable memories for fans.
