MUNCIE, Ind.— The American Advertising Federation of East Central Indiana (AAF ECI) recently held its annual awards gala, the American Advertising Awards (ADDYs). The gala honored advertising and creative excellence at the Ball State University Alumni Center in Muncie, Ind.
This year’s entries included local and regional television spots, digital and print entries created in 2015 by advertising agencies, businesses, individuals and Ball State University students in East Central Indiana. Winners were chosen by a panel of regional advertising professionals, based on innovation, creativity and originality. Lynette Whitesell, Intersection Authenticity Agency and Whitinger Strategic Services took home top honors, each earning a Best of Show award in their respective categories.
The AAF ECI ADDY® Awards Competition is the local level of a three tiered national competition. Proceeds from the ADDY® Awards help support AAF ECI educational programs and public service projects including student scholarships. The ADDY® Awards Competition is the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition for creative excellence.
In addition to creative awards, two club awards were given out in recognition of outstanding contributions to the advertising industry. The Silver Medal Award, the highest honor presented by the AAF to an individual who has made outstanding contributions to advertising and who has been active in furthering the industry’s standards, creative excellence and responsibility in areas of social concern, was presented to Dee Norris-Helms of dreamStar Productions Inc. The Presidents Award, which recognizes a member who has provided extraordinary service to AAF, is committed to the growth and professionalism of their club and has provided long-term leadership, was presented to Allison Robbins of Intersection Authenticity Agency.

AAF ECI ADDY Recipient Wins District 6 Silver Award
Muncie, IND. – Ball State University student Alaynee Fink was recently recognized at the District 6 American Advertising Awards (ADDY’s) ceremony. Her film, titled “Beginnings Matter,” took home a Silver in the Student Television Advertising category. Her entry was forwarded to the District level after earning a Gold and Best of Show at the local level (see above) at the American Advertising Awards of East Central Indiana.
