First Lady Karen Pence was in Muncie today to visit family-owned jewelry store, Murray’s Jewelers, and to view custom jewelry items the company has created that are included in the Indiana Bicentennial Commission’s Bicentennial Marketplace.
The Bicentennial Marketplace is a website shopping area, where items produced by Indiana companies for the Bicentennial are showcased to potential buyers.
The marketplace resides on the Indiana Bicentennial Website, www.indiana2016.org. Items for sale are listed on the site, with a picture, description, contact information and weblink to the seller.
The Bicentennial Marketplace is open to companies and artisans whose business is located in Indiana and are manufacturing, creating or producing items in the state. The marketplace launched in February 2016.
The Murray’s have designed a number of jewelry items for the Bicentennial Marketplace. The item pictured above is the Indiana Bicentennial lapel pin. The design is manufactured in 14K yellow, white, or rose gold. Each piece was designed and manufactured by the Murray family using proprietary designs. Each pin measures 18mm tall and 9.5mm wide.
The Bicentennial Marketplace website features a wide variety of Indiana-based products including: custom gift baskets, artwork, home decor items, pottery, wood carvings, jewelry, clothing, books and much, much more.
