Muncie, IN— The Muncie-Delaware County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Rev. Dr. Ronald Naylor will be recognized as the 2020 recipient of the Chamber’s Legacy Award. This year’s Legacy Gala is scheduled for Saturday, August 22, at the Horizon Convention Center in Muncie.
The Muncie-Delaware County Chamber of Commerce’s Legacy Award is presented annually to an individual who has made extraordinary, sustained, and positive contributions to the Muncie-Delaware County community, and who has provided leadership in the development of programs, events, and/or new traditions that promote goodwill and community pride.
“Ron Naylor has been an important part of this community for many years and we are pleased that we will have the opportunity to honor him with the Chamber’s Legacy Award,” said Chamber President, Jay Julian.
Jeff Parsons, Chairman of the Muncie Chamber Board of Directors said, “It will be an honor to recognize Ron Naylor’s contributions to our community by awarding him with the Chamber’s Legacy Award.”
Rev. Naylor was the pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Muncie for 28 years. He currently serves as the Chaplin at Westminster Village Muncie, a role he has held since 2018. He is a graduate of Westminster College and Princeton Theological Seminary. Naylor received his Doctoral degree from the Ecumenical Theological Seminary in Detroit, Michigan.
Married for over 50 years to wife Susan, the couple has two sons and two granddaughters.
Naylor is a member of the Cardinal Varsity Club at Ball State University and the Muncie Rotary Club. He and his wife enjoy traveling.
