Muncie, IN—As Picasso once said, “Every child is an artist. The key is how to remain an artist once they grow up.” Embrace and hone your creativity at Cornerstone Center for the Arts Education classes, camps, and workshops. Cornerstone will offer classes for the entire family this fall. Fall twelve-week classes begin the week of September 9 and continue through the week of December 2. Various one-time workshops and camps will also be offered throughout fall as well. Registration is now open for classes for youth and adults in visual arts, dance, theatre, music, martial arts, fitness, and more.
Cornerstone’s youth classes start with age 1 and continue through high school. Dance classes offered this fall include: Beginner & Intermediate/Advanced Performance Group; Boys Hip Hop Ages 5-9; Boys Hip Hop Ages 10-14; Contemporary & Jazz; Creative Movement; Early Ballet I, II, and III; Early Hip Hop Jazz I and II; Early Tap I & II; Lyrical & Modern I & II; Swing; Youth Ballet; Youth Tap; and Youth Hip Hop. Students interested in theatre are welcome to register for Acting 101 & 102; Early Musical Theatre; and Youth Musical Theatre. Visual arts students will enjoy: Animal Drawing; Ceramics; Creative Drawing I & II; Youth Manga and Comic Book Drawing; Family Ceramics; Fundamentals of Art; Preschool Art; Slime Making Ages 6-13; Urban & Street Arts; and Watercolor. Cornerstone’s Martial Arts program is perfect for students looking to learn self-defense while having fun. Lastly, our brand new youth classes offered this fall include: All Things Fairy; Early Elementary Art; Music for Munchkins; and Stop Motion Animation for Ages 8-11 & 12-15.
For teenagers and adults of all ages Cornerstone will offer a variety of weekly classes. For students interested in dance and movement consider: Ballet I Non-Performance; Ballet I Performance; Ballet II; Ballroom; Beginning Belly Dance; Tap; Contemporary; Swing & Salsa; Bollywood; Irish Step Dancing Level I , II, & III; Hip Hop; Teens and adults looking for health and wellness will enjoy: Basic Yoga and Core Yoga. Visual arts courses this fall are Acrylic Painting; Adult Ceramics; Urban & Street Arts; Mixed Media Arts; Fluid Art; Watercolor Basics; Advanced Watercolor; Adult Painting; Manga & Comic Book; Creative Drawing; and Farmhouse Vintage. Students ages 16 through adults will enjoy the challenge of Cornerstone’s USA Combat Jujitsu for new and returning students. Our brand new teen and adult classes offered this fall include: Advanced Sword for Belly Dancers; Belly Dance Sirocco Student Troupe; Drawing from Life; Hip Hop Dance Aerobics; Printmaking; and Saidi Cane Dancing for Belly Dancers
Cornerstone also offers year round private lessons in the areas of bass, bass guitar, cello, drums, guitar, piano, saxophone, trombone, trumpet, ukulele, viola, violin, and voice. Private lessons meet once a week one on one with an instructor. Private lesson availability is dependent on the instructor’s schedules.

Cornerstone’s Fall Break Arts Camp will meet from October 7 through October 9 introducing students 7-13 to visual arts, dance, theatre, music, martial arts, and more.
Cornerstone offers financial aid scholarships to youth and adults who qualify. Applications for financial aid are available online or in person at Cornerstone’s second floor desk.
