Muncie, IN— Ball State baseball home games will be on over-the-air radio. BSU and its athletics multimedia rightsholder, Learfield IMG College have announced the addition of home baseball broadcasts to their radio coverage for the remainder of the 2019 season.

While the team’s games have been available via online stream since 2013, this marks the first consistent over-the-air radio coverage of Ball State baseball in recent years.

The team’s 12 remaining home games, beginning Friday, April 12 vs. Eastern Michigan, will be carried on Woof Boom Radio’s WXFN 102.9 FM and 1340 AM, Muncie’s Sports Station. Ball State’s April 23 date with Indiana at Victory Field will also be on 102.9 FM and 1340 AM.

Home games will also be streamed both on BallStateSports.com and on the WXFN, Muncie’s Sports Station website.

The addition of baseball to the radio lineup of Woof Boom Radio and Ball State athletics continues to grow a decades-long relationship that, this past offseason, was renewed through the academic year 2022-2023.

The Cardinals currently boast a 21-11 record and are just a game out of first in the MAC standings. Picked to finish second in the Mid-American Conference preseason poll, Ball State is among the nation’s leaders in several key statistical categories, including strikeouts by pitchers (4th), batting average (48th) and runs scored (31st).

Admission to Ball State baseball games is free. Find the baseball schedule HERE.
