These efforts will allow for efficiencies in serving their clients,” Bowne said.
The Al Rent Spirit of Muncie Award recognizes respected leaders, valued community volunteers, and role models who volunteer for the Chamber of Commerce. This year David Bahlmann, retired Ball State Foundation director, was recognized for his support and leadership of the Chamber and in the community. “Dave has been a tremendous advocate for our community. There is hardly a major fundraising campaign that he didn’t influence. He has been a mentor, friend, and quiet leader for the entire time he and their family moved to Muncie. His long-term friendship with Al made the award extra special,” said Bowne.
U.S. Congressman Greg Pence was able to attend this year’s event while visiting Muncie. Over 200 people attended this year’s Chamber Champions Awards.
The Muncie-Delaware County Chamber of Commerce has been serving the community since 1894 and is currently celebrating their 125th year of being the voice of business in Muncie and Delaware County.
