Muncie, IN— The Muncie-Delaware County Chamber of Commerce honored twenty five of its members for their longevity in, and impact on, the Muncie –Delaware County community at the Chamber Champions Award Luncheon at the Horizon Convention Center on March 21.
“We know that existing business is the backbone of our local economy and we want to congratulate our members when they reach a milestone in their history and do outstanding work for our community.” —Chamber of Commerce president Jay Julian
The Al Rent Spirit of Muncie Award recognizes respected leaders, valued community volunteers, and role models who volunteer for the Chamber of Commerce. This year David Heeter, CEO of Mutual Bank, was recognized for his support and leadership of the Chamber and in the community.
Also presented at the annual awards lunch was the Ambassador of the Year Award. This year, Sarah McCord, with Cardinal Capital Management received the honors. “McCord has been a tireless volunteer with the Chamber for many years,” Julian said.
Chamber Chairman of the Board of Directors, Chris Caldwell, presented Muncie Power Products with the Chairman’s Award. “Muncie Power Products has grown their footprint all over the United States but Muncie remains their corporate headquarters,” Caldwell said. “Muncie Power Products is a strong community supporter and I am pleased to recognize them with this year’s Chairman’s Award.”
Nearly 250 people attended this year’s event.
The Muncie-Delaware County Chamber of Commerce has been serving the community since 1894.
