Muncie, IN—Two of Muncie’s most committed youth service organizations are taking collaboration a step further by permanently combining their missions, staffs and governing boards. Join the Boys & Girls Club of Muncie on Jan. 25 for a Great Futures Luncheon celebrating the merger with the Roy C. Buley Center.
Meet young people from each agency, including the 2017 Youth of the Year. Come hear about how BGCM has expanded from one site to four locations throughout Muncie, serving twice as many young people.
Cost of care for every Club Kid is $3,000 annually yet memberships are just $15 per child. The difference comes in the generosity of donors and sponsors who have seen the results of Boys & Girls Club of America afterschool programming delivered by local experts in early childhood development.
At this premiere fundraiser, attendees will hear directly from the children whose lives are touched by the generosity of donors.
“This has been a tremendous year of growth and development for the Boys & Girls Club of Muncie,” said James Mitchell, president of the Board of Directors. “We are growing because the needs require us to,” he said. “Our annual banquet is an opportunity for our community partners and BGCM families to see and hear where we’ve been but more importantly where we’re heading.”
In the last 12 months, the Madison Street and Buley Center locations saw renovations to their gymnasiums, thanks to the generosity of the Ball Brothers Foundation. Outside renovations at the Madison Street location was supported by Lowe’s Neighborhood Revitalization Grant awarded to Muncie Habitat, the local fiscal agent for the grant.
