Muncie, IN – Ball State University will host a Community Arts Expo on Wednesday, November 15 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. in the newly renovated John R. Emens College-Community Auditorium. The event is in response to the Better Together Initiative. It is free and open to the public and is sponsored by The Star Press and Ball State University.
“This concept grew out of comments from the President’s Community forum on Arts and Culture. We look forward to bringing all of Muncie’s strong and dedicated arts organizations together” commented Ryan Hourigan, director of the Ball State University School of Music. Hourigan was a panelist at the Arts and Culture forum back in September.
Over twenty local arts organizations and programs will be in attendance and will distribute informational materials. Attendees will receive an Expo directory and can enter to win raffle prizes. Refreshments and live music will be provided by the Ball State University School of Music and Emens Auditorium.
Complimentary shuttle service will be available from Muncie’s Northside Middle School east parking lot to Emens from 5-9 p.m. Parking is free in the McKinley Avenue and Emens Parking Garages after 7 p.m.
Exhibitor registration is still open at bsu.edu/artsexpo.
