Coldwell Banker Lunsford held a public open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday morning, August 12th, to allow the public to see and tour their new offices at 400 N High St #110, in downtown Muncie.
As soon as visitors step inside the new offices and pass through the glass doors of the atrium, they are greeted with highly functional, warm surroundings and a great deal of high-end technology. Beautiful and varied works of art adorn the offices of agents and throughout the new facility.
“We came from a house that was converted to an office that was 7500 square feet. We’re down to 4500 square feet, but it’s way more efficient space,” said Coldwell Banker Lunsford agent, Steve Slavin.
“To be able to quickly have conversations with our colleagues is awesome. In the old house, we had to walk around corridors, and meander around this-and-that. Some offices didn’t even have windows. So, to be in this kind of space is pretty awesome.”
Since the new Coldwell Banker Lunsford offices are downtown, the company is much closer to title companies, bankers, attorneys and other services the firm uses every day.
“I like the fact that we are servicing our clients more centrally than just on the north side of town,” Steve said. “There’s a lot going on downtown and I like that, too. We can meet with a lot of our clients here, even though agents are much more mobile than we ever used to be. This office is my nerve center of activity. To be able to have this kind of facility for clients to come to —have group activities— plus, our large conference room with all the technology that’s in there— is just wonderful. To be able to have that kind of space for the Home Seminars we put on for our clients is just really, really nice.”
Mike Lunsford was all smiles during the open house.
“It’s really fun to show the new facility to the community,” Mike said. “We’ve had great community support here today. A lot of people stopped in to wish us well. Being downtown is very interesting. We feel like we are more in the middle of the activity in the community. And hopefully, it will be good for us from a business perspective.”
Mike said the new downtown location would provide Coldwell Banker Lunsford the opportunity to provide input and create more opportunity for downtown businesses.
“We have been busy,” Mike said.
“The year has gone well. We have a great sales staff here. In fact, we are recruiting people right now. We think there is more opportunity in this market. Muncie is positioning itself to move forward, and we want to be part of that forward movement. We don’t just sell property. We help people get what they want. We care about our clients. We understand the impact our actions have on the families we serve. We take our job seriously, yet we work hard to make every transaction a pleasant experience for our clients.”
