The Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County, Inc. has announced the 2017 recipients of the Community Foundation Scholarship. The Community Foundation Scholarship is awarded to students who were selected by their individual schools as Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship nominees. The Community Foundation recognizes the outstanding achievements of these students with a $500 scholarship. Consideration was given to student activities and achievements, community and civic service, academic ability and potential for leadership.
Anna Bilello of Burris Laboratory School plans to study business at Indiana University. Anna is the daughter of Joseph Bilello and Teresa Evanko.
Brendan Bow of Delta High School plans to study informatics at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. Brendan is the son of Curtis Bow Jr. and Jennifer Bow.
Nathan Brelage of Delta High School plans to study mechanical engineering at the University of Dayton. Nathan is the son of Andrew Brelage and Pamela Brelage.
Chase Curry of Wapahani High School plans to study nursing at Ball State University. Chase is the daughter of Tracy Hendricks and Rob Curry.
Autumn Dishroon of Muncie Central High School plans to study biology at Indiana University. Autumn is the daughter of John and Leellen Dishroon.
Madeline Gullion of Delta High School plans to study creative writing and Spanish at Earlham College. Madeline is the daughter of Darin and Noeline Gullion.
Jack Harber of Yorktown High School plans to study pharmacy at Purdue University. Jack is the son of Robert and Melissa Harber.
Katie Hazen of Yorktown High School plans to study pastoral leadership and communications at Marian University. Katie is the daughter of Neal and Becky Hazen.
Hannah Komanapalli of the Indiana Academy plans to study cell, molecular, and developmental biology at Purdue University. Hannah is the daughter of Sudarshan and Indira Komanapalli.
Mae McDaniel of Cowan Jr./Sr. High School plans to study plant genetics, breeding and biochemistry at Purdue University. Mae is the daughter of Mary Coffmann and Wes McDaniel.
