Yorktown, IN—Here’s a rundown on what will be happening in Yorktown during the 4th of July. Carnival rides begin June 30th.

Four For the Fourth: 8am
Don’t miss the 7th annual Four for the Fourth, Yorktown’s premiere race! This year’s race features a 4-mile run/walk and 1-mile Fun Run for the whole family. To register for either event, please check out the NEW Four for the Fourth website.
Canoe Country Canoe Race: 11:30am
- Friday, June 30: 5-10 pm
- Saturday/Sunday, July 1 & 2: 5-10 pm
- Monday, July 3: 5-10 pm
- Tuesday, July 4: 12-10 pm
Cardboard and Duct Tape Boat Races: 2pm
The festival’s most exciting and hilarious event is back for a third year! Participation is FREE. Boats must be made from corrugated cardboard and duct tape only. More information here.
Pie Baking Contest: 5pm
See how your secret pie recipe stacks up against the competition in the 4th of July Pie Baking Contest! Fruit pies only. Contestants must be present by 4:30 pm with judging starting at 5:00. Registration here. Leftover pie pieces will be sold by Reach Yorktown Ministry with proceeds helping benefit the food pantry and kids’ programs.
50/50 Rubber Duck Races: 6:30pm, 7pm
Cheer your duck to the finish line at the 50/50 Rubber Duck Races! The Big Quacker ($100 each) races will be held at 6:30 and 7:00. Winner gets $1000! The Lucky Duck ($3 each) race begins at 7:30. Lucky Ducks not available for pre-purchase.
Fireworks: 10pm
Grab a seat and watch one of the best fireworks displays around! Please remember that individuals are not permitted to bring their own fireworks into the park.
