Greater Muncie Chamber of Commerce’s Legacy Dinner Honored Mr. Thomas Kinghorn

MUNCIE, IN— The 2024 Greater Muncie Chamber of Commerce Legacy Dinner was held Saturday, September 28 at the Horizon Convention Center honoring Mr. Thomas Kinghorn, President and CEO of the George and Frances Ball Foundation.

Among those who paid tribute to the legacy of Mr. Kinghorn were Mr. Stefan Anderson, Retired CEO of First Merchants Bank, Dr. John Worthen, Retired President of Ball State University; Mr. Jim Lowe, Retired Associate Vice President for Ball State University’s Facilities Planning and Management; Mr. Jon Moll, Retired Attorney of DeFur Voran LLP; Dr. Lee Ann Kwiatkowski, VP of Klipsch Educators College & Innovation in K12 Education at Marian University; and Mrs. Kortney Zimmerman, Senior Program Officer of the George and Frances Ball Foundation.

Stephen Brand, Chairman of the Greater Muncie Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors presented the award to Kinghorn.

“His accomplishments are vast, and our community is a better place because of Mr. Tom Kinghorn.,” said Brand.

The Greater Muncie Chamber of Commerce Legacy Award is presented annually to an individual who has made extraordinary, sustained, and positive contributions to the Muncie-Delaware County community at large, and who has provided leadership in the development of programs, events, and new traditions that promote goodwill and community pride.

Open Door Health Services served as the event’s presenting sponsor for the 13th consecutive year.
