MUNCIE, IN—Muncie Toxic Fusion, a competitive cheerleading program through Champion Force Athletics, recently traveled with four different teams (divisions) to Biloxi, MS for the NYAA National Cheerleading Competition and Lexington, KY for the CFA National Cheerleading Competition. With Toxic Fusion’s Division 6 team bringing home the 1st place national title in 2023 and their Division 3 team bringing home the 1st place national title in 2022, the expectation of greatness was set heading into the 2024 season.

This group is made up of over 150 athletes that are no strangers to overcoming obstacles. The 23-24 season was a hard year for the Muncie program, with one of their Division 3 teammates being diagnosed with leukemia only two weeks before she was meant to take the national stage. With tons of last-minute changes to their national routines, Toxic Fusion still managed to have all four teams come home being nationally ranked in the “Top 5.”

Registration for Toxic Fusion’s walk-on teams has opened for the Fall season, which begins on August 20th. Tryouts for their elite teams are scheduled for August 14th. Although the team has Muncie in the name, this is not limited to people with a Muncie address—athletes in this program come from all around East Central Indiana.

Some of the schools that have athletes enrolled in Toxic Fusion include Cowan, Yorktown, Blackford, Pendleton, Monroe Central, Selma, Delta, Wes Del, Winchester and many more. The Fall season also brings the debut of Muncie’s first ever “Exceptional Athletes” team, which gives athletes who need special accommodations or extra assistance a chance to be exceptional at cheerleading.
