MUNCIE, IN— All are invited to attend an upcoming free open house about the exciting public art project in the Whitely neighborhood.

Muncie Arts & Culture Council, Inc. (MuncieArts) is leading the project which will add public art pieces in two locations – Whitely neighborhood and at 8th & Hoyt. The MuncieArts is the designated arts partner for the City of Muncie. The organization assists with municipal initiatives where art integration can benefit economic development and quality of place for Muncie residents.

What type of art and where the pieces will go in the Whitely neighborhood will be decided with direction from the community. Residents are encouraged to answer a brief survey about the project or attend the free open house at Connection Corner, the technology branch of the Muncie Public Library.

Activities at the open house will ask participants what kind of art they would like to see in Whitely, what values and stories should be told through the art, and what specific locations are most preferred.
