MUNCIE, IN— Get ready to explore 40 acres of fun and excitement at Minnetrista Museum & Garden’s highly anticipated Family Adventure Day: Spring Celebration! This free community event presented by First Merchants Bank is packed with fun-filled activities for the whole family, promising a memorable experience for all attendees.
On March 27, families and friends are invited to embark on a journey of exploration and excitement at Minnetrista. With a plethora of activities, Family Adventure Day at Minnetrista is truly a choose-your-own-adventure experience. The day features three 2-hour sessions: 10 a.m.–noon, 1–3 p.m. and 4–6 p.m. From learning opportunities to active participation and pure enjoyment, the day offers something for everyone.
Among the highlights of the event are:
- Horticulture Planting Event: Get your hands dirty and learn about gardening while planting with our horticultural experts.
- Backyard Garden: Enjoy outdoor play at our seasonally refreshed children’s play garden. You can climb on our fort, jump rope, or watch the koi swim by.
- Sensory Calm Down Space: A tranquil oasis amidst the excitement, head for this space if your group is starting to feel a little overwhelmed and needs a space to breathe.
- Zine Making: Unleash your creativity and craft your own zines with local artist Mary Arnett-Delaney.
- NASA Ambassador: Explore the Wonder of Mars: Sarah Vise, NASA Ambassador, will be discussing the red planet Mars and leading an activity.
- Instrument Petting Zoo: Let your imagination run wild as you explore a variety of musical instruments.
- Imagination Playground: Unleash your creativity and building skills with the Big Blue Blocks.
“It is always a joy to see families connecting through creativity, curiosity, and play at Family Adventure Day,” shares Emily Grant, Daily Experience Manager at Minnetrista Museum & Gardens. “This event is the most rewarding for me to be involved with at Minnetrista. With our current exhibitions free to explore and partnered activities that showcase local educators and artists there’s endless fun to be had across campus.”
