MUNCIE, IN – The Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County is strengthening operations by investigating and implementing best practices for diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB). In the Summer of 2023, the Foundation began work with expert consulting firm Optiplied to evaluate current policies, procedures, and perceptions. The consultation will result in the creation of a task force and subsequent action plan focused on organizational improvements with a DEIB lens.
As part of its engagement with the Foundation, Optiplied is seeking community input. To capture community perception of The Community Foundation, Optiplied is conducting a variety of surveys. Board Members, current staff, grant and scholarship recipients, and community leaders have been invited to respond to surveys that addressed their specific connection to the Foundation.
To assess the awareness and perception of The Community Foundation from the community at large, Optiplied launched a public perception survey. Community members are invited to take the survey by visiting cfmdin.org/survey and following the survey link. The survey will remain open through January 31. Responses are anonymous.
A task force of local volunteers will start work later this year utilizing the survey data and other analyses conducted to review, evaluate, and suggest improvements in various operational areas. The assessment by Optiplied, along with the task force’s work, will result in an action plan and case study.
Community feedback is a vital part of assessing and strengthening The Community Foundation. Please take the community assessment survey at cfmdin.org/survey.
