MUNCIE, IN—The Bazaar in the Woods – now in its 125th consecutive year – will welcome shoppers of all ages on Saturday, November 4, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Muncie, 4800 W. Bradford Dr.

Start the day with a breakfast of cinnamon rolls, coffee, milk and orange juice at the Chalice Cafe, 800 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. or take a lunch break of chili (regular or vegetarian), cornbread (regular or Gluten-free), grapes and cookies,11 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. You’ll find food to take home at the Gourmet & More booth featuring frozen meals, cookies, breads, and desserts.

The church quilting circle has again designed and created a magnificent handmade piece of practical art. This year’s reversable quilt is named Eclipse in reference to the upcoming Eclipse in April, 2024. The bright colors of the quilt are covering the white circles that appear in the quilt pattern just as the moon will block the sun. Raffle tickets are now on sale and through bazaar day. Cost is 6/$5 or $1/each. Drawing at 2pm, November 4 (need not be present to win). Call the church for tickets if you are unable to attend, 765-288-9561.

The “Eclipse” Quilt

Favorite artisans are back with pottery, woodcrafts, ceramics, paper art, handmade beaded and silver jewelry, original watercolors and mixed media art, nature inspired art and fiber arts items.

UU Church booths will again carry collectibles, jewelry, used books, and hundreds of CDs – bluegrass, folk, newage, and miscellaneous. The Encore! Fashion Boutique continues to sell its upscale, gently-used clothing forwomen, plus a variety of accessories. The popular Plant Booth is back with common and exotic plants to brighten your home during the upcoming winter months.

The Silent Auction also returns with its quality and upscale used merchandise. Silent Auction is open for bidsuntil 1 pm on bazaar day. You need not be present at close of bids, just reachable by phone or text. Buyers often find a perfect fit for their home or for a gift.

The Tool Shop has an assortment of tools, from small hand tools to power tools. Anyone handy with tools will want to spend time at this booth.

The Children’s Corner booth has many new and used toys in great condition, puzzles, and clothing.

 Bring your friends or meet them at the Bazaar to find your holiday gift selections. Credit cards are accepted, and there are no taxes or postage to pay.

Mark the date: The Post-Bazaar Rummage Sale will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Church the following Saturday, November 11 from 8 a.m. – 12p.m.

Muncie’s Bazaar in the Woods began in 1897. It continues to attract talented artisans, cooks and craftspeople. The Unitarian Universalist Church of Muncie holds its yearly bazaar the first Saturday of November.
