MUNCIE, IN—The 67th District Six Altrusa Conference was held last month at the Horizon Convention Center in downtown Muncie, IN. Held annually in spring, the conference is an opportunity for fun, educational workshops, networking, sharing, skill building, electing leadership, and celebrating the accomplishments of individuals and clubs within District Six.
During the Conference, our own Angela Beck was installed as District Six Governor at the Installation Dinner on the evening of April 22, 2023.
Angela has been a member of Altrusa since February 2007. She has held many committee chair positions within the Club and District Six; in service and fundraising. She has demonstrated leadership as President of the Muncie Club 2013-2014 and currently as District Six Governor Elect 2021-2023. Her time as Governor will begin at the Conference for the biennium of 2023-2025. Her favorite things about Altrusa are the friendship and fellowship of its members.
As the Altrusa District Six Governor, Angela’s responsibilities will include: Being informed on the Altrusa principles, bylaws, policies, and procedures; Assist the District Board and the Clubs within the boundaries of District Six (Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky); Help the Club’s leadership in developing strategic plans that will positively impact the communities that the Club serves; Promote Altrusa growth through organization of new clubs; Encourage clubs to strive for excellence in programs and projects for the community.
Angela’s passion and leadership are just two of the traits that make her an invaluable member to Altrusa.

Our Foundation was established to receive and administer assets for charitable and special needs in the Muncie and Delaware County community. It provides an avenue for individuals, organizations and corporations to contribute to a tax-exempt fund that fills a charitable need.
