‘Rock and Roll Trifecta’ to Take Place at Cornerstone on Saturday

Local Bands to Perform at Cornerstone

MUNCIE, INThree well-known local bands will perform at Cornerstone Center for the Arts, 520 E Main St., Feb. 18. The three bands are Pushing Daisy’s Band, Mike Milligan & Steam Shovel and The Why Store. All three bands have Muncie or Ball State connections.

The bands will perform in the Cornerstone’s E.B. Ball Auditorium, with Mike Milligan & Steam Shovel from 6 to 7 p.m.; Pushing Daisy’s Band performing from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.; and The Why Store from 9 to 11:30 p.m.

Mike Milligan & Steam Shovel was formed by Ball State graduate Mike Milligan in 1993. They have just released their seventh album.

Pushing Daisy’s Band was formed by Michael Mead, a Ball State graduate, and Elijah Pollard.

The Why Store was named after a former Muncie downtown store. The Why Store is led by Chris Shaffer, a Ball State graduate, as well as bass player Dan Hunt.

Cornerstone offers opportunities for creative expression for all with visual arts, dance, music, and martial arts classes. Cornerstone also provides community and rental spaces in a historic setting.  Thousands of area residents attend proms, wedding, corporate conferences and civic events at Cornerstone each year.
