MUNCIE, IN—The Muncie and Western Model Railroad Club has announced its 31st Annual Muncie Model Train Show.  The event will be held on Saturday, February 25 from 10 AM to 3 PM at the Delaware County Fairgrounds.

Proceeds from the train show will benefit the Muncie Children’s Museum.  Admission is only $5 for each adult—children 12 and under are admitted free.  Indiana’s largest single-day model train show will be held in both the Memorial and Heartland buildings.

Listen to organizer, Brian Wolfe below.

The MWMRR club hosts this fun and educational annual event to raise funds to maintain, support, and upgrade the operating 3-rail O-gauge layout at the Muncie Children’s Museum in order to add new locomotives and train cars on the museum’s layout.  These are trains seen on today’s railroads in and around Muncie and throughout Indiana and represent important transportation and logistical careers.

At the show, children of all ages will be enchanted by operating model train layouts in several scales as well as seeing circus memorabilia, railroad historical societies, and visiting vendors selling model trains to help you get started in this fun family hobby.  Parking is free and food will be available for sale on-site as a fundraiser for a local Boy Scout troop.

Come enjoy a few hours or the day with us and learn more about this awesome hobby.
