MUNCIE, IN—Hillcroft Services, Inc., a local provider of services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities for nearly 70 years, has been awarded a $150,000 grant from the Avis Foundation, Inc. The grant is in support of the recently opened ABA Clinic located in Pendleton, which is an expansion of the service model already offered by the ABA Clinic located in Muncie.
The completely renovated 6,000 square foot facility that opened in May of 2022, has the capacity to employ up to 12 full-time staff and serve up to nine children and young adults diagnosed with Autism and related disorders. The ABA Clinic uses a combined approach of both Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Verbal Behavior (VB) to provide hands-on, personalized instruction to children ages 2 – 19.
Marty Songer, Executive Director of the Avis Foundation, Inc., stated, “Hillcroft Services has a proven history of supporting individuals with a variety of challenges, including those on the autism spectrum. Its work fits well with the Avis Foundation mission, and we are pleased to support the expansion of Hillcroft’s ABA Clinic in Pendleton and autism-related services.”
Debbie Bennett, President & CEO of Hillcroft said, “Hillcroft Services is thrilled to partner with the Avis Foundation, Inc. to positively impact children on the autism spectrum. The Avis Foundation provided the majority of capital necessary to prepare a much-needed facility for ABA services in the Pendleton area.
