Costumed Creature Crawl Contest To Be Held DWNTWN

MUNCIE, IN—Calling all creatures great and small! Bring your human DWNTWN October 29 from 12–3pm and show off your biped’s creativity. All furry, feathered, scaled, hairy, or hairless costumed friends are welcome. Humans must be leashed to their creatures. There is NO cost to participate.

11:30 AM
Parade line-up will begin at the Delaware County Building square.
12:00 PM
Parade starts and will proceed south on Walnut Street to Canan Commons. Judging will be held at the Canan Commons Stage. Prizes will be awarded for the following:
Best Creature Costume
Best Human and Creature Combo
Best Human Costume
Free hot dogs to the first 100 costumed parade participants.
12:30–1:30 PM
Indiana Wild will present a program celebrating human-animal cultural connections, featuring animals including an armadillo, hedgehog, owl, gator, snake, tortoise, lizard, bug, frog or toad. Volunteers will be included in the program.
1:30–3:00 PM
Trick-or-Treating with DWNTWN Businesses: Look for the pumpkin balloons to find participating retailers. Maps will be accessible from the website. Approximately 25 DWNTWN locations to visit.
