The awards honor two nominated individuals, one in the workplace/corporation sector and one from the community sector, whose commitment to improving the lives of Hoosiers warrants special recognition. These individuals have made significant contributions to their respective workplaces or community.
Both honorees were recognized at the 2022 Indiana Wellness Summit September 21-22 at The Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis.

AchieveWELL is the Wellness Council of Indiana’s workplace wellness assessment, evaluation and recognition program. The designation is open to organizations that work toward creating a corporate culture that encourages and supports employee health and well-being. The program provides an independent assessment of wellness processes and the designation is divided into three levels: Three Star, Four Star and Five Star.
New AchieveWELL Five-Star Recipients:
- Bowen Center, Warsaw
- The DeHayes Group, Fort Wayne
- Indiana University Foundation, Bloomington
- School City of Mishawaka, Mishawka
New AchieveWELL Four-Star Recipient:

In addition, two communities earned the Indiana Healthy Community (IHC) designation: the City of Terre Haute and Orange County. Furthermore, five communities successfully completed the IHC redesignation process and continue their dedication to community well-being and vitality:
- Delaware County

- Kosciusko County
The aforementioned companies and communities were recognized at the Indiana Wellness Summit September 21-22 at The Indiana Convention Center in downtown Indianapolis.
“Congratulations to the nine WCI member organizations for being recognized as AchieveWELL designated workplaces,” says Wellness Council of Indiana Executive Director Jennifer Pferrer. “The commitment to creating a culture of well-being is one aspect that creates a positive employee experience. Our newly designated Indiana Healthy Communities ensure that Indiana stays a healthier place to live, work, learn and play.”
