FORT WAYNE, Ind. –3Rivers Federal Credit Union has announced plans to build three new branches in Central Indiana. Property has been secured and construction has begun on three future 3Rivers Credit Union locations in Muncie, Pendleton, and Fortville Indiana. The completed branches are expected to open by the end of the year. The investment in the three new facilities will be approximately $7.5M. All three branches will be new markets for the credit union, widely expanding its current physical presence in Indiana.
3Rivers is headquartered in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and operates 21 branches in the Northeast and East Central part of the state, having acquired Richmond, Indiana-based West End Bank in June of 2020. 3Rivers currently has nearly $2B in assets and serves over 110,000 members.
In spite of the pandemic, the credit union has continued to experience tremendous organic growth in new members, deposits, and loan volume. 3Rivers is the fastest-growing credit union in Indiana, with assets above $1B. The three new locations in Central Indiana will allow the cooperative to serve new members, providing them with access to expanded products, services, improved convenience, advanced technology, and greater investments in community giveback.
3Rivers is working with Fort Wayne-based Strategic Growth Advisors (SGA) on the design and building of these facilities. Each open concept branch building will be around 3,000 SF, with separate rooms for business, mortgage, and investment services, separate drive-thru lanes, and ATMs. Each branch will feature the work of local artists.
While not opening until the fourth quarter of the year, 3Rivers has started talent recruitment and community development efforts in all three communities.
