MUNCIE, Ind.—In January, 2021, the Muncie Action Plan’s Task Force III kicked off their latest effort to develop “Muncie Pride” campaigns, aimed at providing collaborative creative outlets for people to show their love for our fair city in ways that were socially safe and responsible.
The first of these was a series of county-wide photo contests, each with a different theme. Task Force III began with three contests over the course of the year: Spring Zing, Happy Little Picture, and It’s Tradition, Muncie.
Contestants submitted dozens of entries of beautiful photos, while committee members, guest judges, and the public at large selected winners for hundreds of dollars worth of prizes.

Today, MAP Task Force III kicks off the second year of photo contests with True Love, Muncie. Contestants are invited to submit photos of true love, however they may define it. Whether it’s a significant other, family members, pets, community, food, etc., we want to see what Muncie residents truly love.
Entries will be accepted from February 1st through February 28th. All contestants need to do is post their pictures publicly, use the hashtag #truelovemuncie, and tag Muncie Action Plan.
Winners will be selected in the following three categories:
• Best-Loved Award, most social media likes and shares (both Facebook and Instagram count).
• Judge’s Choice Award, as determined by our guest judges, Kyle and Amanda Reninger from Sea Salt & Cinnamon.
• Most Creative, as determined by MAP Task Force 3.
Winners will receive a gift basket from Sea Salt & Cinnamon (because who doesn’t love chocolate?), including a $50 gift card, courtesy of Tylonius Studio, Inc.
