MUNCIE, Ind.—The Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie has partnered with Chameleon College of Beauty Culture to provide FREE haircuts for Club Members at Chameleon’s College of Beauty Culture located at 3450 N. Broadway in Muncie. Non Club members will just pay $3.00. The program is open to the public for any child who may need a haircut from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Krista Sides, owner of Chameleon College of Beauty Culture said, “Community partnerships are a big part of our mission for Chameleon College of Beauty Culture. I’m so excited to have the opportunity to use our resources and education to help empower youth with the Boys & Girls Club. At Chameleon, we believe everyone deserves access to hair that makes them feel their best.”
Families will have the opportunity to bring their children to receive a haircut the third Saturday every month through May 21, 2022.
Taylor Catron, Elementary Director and hairstylist says “I’m passionate about this project to help bridge the accessibility gap for haircare in low-income communities. Everyone deserves to be able to care for their hair, to feel confident, and not worry about how they’re going to pay for their family haircuts every month. Unfortunately, not all families have this luxury, and my hope is for Club Cuts to play an essential part in bridging that gap.”
Families will have the opportunity to learn more about the programs and services that Chameleon College of Beauty Culture offers as well as the after school programs that the Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie provides.
