Cardinal 5K Run/Walk: Register Today!

Muncie, IN—The Cardinal Greenway is kicking off their Cardinal Summer series of events with the Cardinal 5K Run/Walk Saturday, June 26. It will be offered in both Muncie and Marion.

The Muncie edition will be a timed, competitive race that will start and finish at the Wysor St. Depot (700 E. Wysor St.) and include the Hughes Nature Preserve, new Kitselman Bridge and trailhead, John Craddock Wetlands Nature Preserve, Cardinal and White River Greenways. Marion will offer a family friendly, fun run/walk that will travel from the Marion Depot (510 W. 10th St.) to the Miller Ave. trailhead and back.

Registration for the Muncie event is $20 for adults and $10 for students. Marion is and $10 for individuals or $20 for families. All prices increase $5 June 19.  Online registration closes Thursday, June 24. Day of registration opens at 7 AM in Muncie and 8 AM in Marion. Start time is 8 AM in Muncie and 9 AM in Marion.

As a private, non-profit trail system the Cardinal Greenway relies on fundraising events like this to provide funding to care for and maintain the 62 miles of the Greenway, which is the longest trail in the state of Indiana and spans five counties through East Central Indiana.
