Muncie, IN – George Insurance Group will host an active shooter response training course on Tuesday, January 14th from 6:30pm – 8:30pm.
Chief Duckham, Ball State University Police Chief, will present C.R.A.S.E. training (Civilian Response to Active Shooter Event) at the Mitchell Early Childhood and Family Center (Former Mitchell Elementary School) in Muncie. Mitchell Early Childhood and Family Center is located at 2809 W Purdue Ave, Muncie, Indiana.
This presentation will provide strategies, guidance, and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter event. Topics will include the history and prevalence of active shooter events, the role of first responders, and civilian response options.
Also participating in the event will be Jason Seaman, the Noblesville West Middle School teacher who on May 25, 2018, stopped a shooter inside his classroom. Attendees will hear his story in his words.
“In light of the rise in active shooter events, we wanted to do something for our clients and our community. It’s important for citizens and businesses to have the necessary training to increase their chances of survival,” explained David George, owner of George Insurance Group. “We hope that the attendees never have to use the information that they will be given.”
This event is currently by invitation only, but may be able to accommodate additional attendees. Contact David George at david@georgeinsurancegroup.com for more information.
Due to the seriousness of the topic, this event is reserved for adults (over 18 years old.)
