Muncie, IN— Good food and friendly competition will be plentiful at the BSU Women’s Club fundraiser for non-traditional student scholarships, to be held Thursday, November 21 at the Knights of Columbus (3600 W. Purdue Ave.). The evening starts with a spaghetti dinner at 6 PM, complete with marinara or meat sauce, salad, breadsticks, refreshments, and a choice of homemade desserts. A cash bar will also be available at this adults-only event.
The trivia competition runs 7 PM-9 PM, and teams may have up to eight people. The winning team will receive a cash prize. In addition to trivia, mystery boxes will be sold for $10 each. These wrapped boxes contain surprise gifts with a value starting at $10. Many boxes contain $20 gifts, and one box contains a $50 gift card.
All proceeds will directly fund the BSU Women’s Club Scholarships for non-traditional Students. Each year, the BSU Women’s Club awards at least three scholarships to non-traditional students at Ball State. These are students who have begun their work on a degree at least five years after graduating from high school.
The purpose of the BSU Women’s Club (www.bsuwc.org) is to promote a spirit of friendship and to support scholarship at Ball State and in the surrounding community. A number of club members have contributed to the event through prize donations, homemade desserts, and volunteer roles.
