Muncie, IN– Join Glad Tidings as they celebrate their 100th anniversary on Sunday, October 6that 10:00 a.m. Glad Tidings Church of Muncie celebrates its 100th anniversary this October with special events and initiatives throughout the year. The church was founded in the late summer of 1919 after a small group of like-minded believers emerged from summer revival tent meetings with a desire to start a church.
The congregation of Glad Tidings Church has sought to establish themselves as people deeply rooted in the values of biblical teaching, passionate prayer, and community outreach dependent on the work of the Holy Spirit. Along with these values, the congregation of Glad Tidings has been energized with vision to advance their ministry influence throughout Delaware County and the surrounding area.
Over the years, Glad Tidings has continued to pursue that vision while ensuring their timeless and non-negotiable values do not change. From new ministries, to leadership transitions, location changes, and new and remodeled facilities, each step has been taken with these values and vision ensuring their advancement.
Through Glad Tidings’ Advance Campaign, they are remodeling and adding an addition to the Student Ministries Center, securing new sanctuary seating, planting a new church in Dunkirk, and partnering with global missions initiatives. The campaign will conclude in September of 2021, with the goal of raising $750,000.
