Imagine in Glass

Imagine in Glass is a celebration of children’s creativity and imagination. Inspired by children’s artwork, professional glassworkers from the Marilyn K. Glick Center for Glass at Ball State University will create whimsical glass sculptures to be displayed in Minnetrista’s gallery space. Come and see what happens when we combine the skillset of glasswork experts with the wild imaginations of children!
Dinosaur Discoveries: Ancient Fossils, New Ideas

Experience dinosaurs like never before when you visit the incredible Dinosaur Discoveries: Ancient Fossils, New Ideasexhibition! Use technology to examine fossils and discover how dinosaurs walked, ran, and moved their long necks. Dinosaur Discoveries: Ancient Fossils, New Ideas is organized by the American Museum of Natural History, New York (amnh.org), in collaboration with the California Academy of Sciences, San Francisco; The Field Museum, Chicago; the Houston Museum of Natural Science; and the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, Raleigh.

Glass Workshop: Hot Shop Glass Pumpkins

Take advantage of this opportunity to create your very own glass decoration for your home. Experience the heat and glow of the Glick Center hot shop and the excitement that comes from stretching your creative muscles! Students from the Glick Center will guide participants in the construction of glass pumpkins. Register early to reserve your personal 45 minute session. For ages 13 years and up.
Canning Workshop: You and Me

Minnetrista, the home of the Ball Jar, has a long history with canning and food preservation. Bring your family together for our You and Me Canning hands-on experience. Everyone will learn something, and you’ll leave with some delicious raspberry chocolate jam!
Family Adventure Day Fall Festival

This free community event is open to the whole family! With so much being offered, the day is a choose-your-own-adventure opportunity. The various fall activities create space for learning, active family participation, and loads of fun! Spend a beautiful fall day at Minnetrista exploring with friends and family.

We have a long, proud tradition of pressing cider at Minnetrista and Muncie has a deep love of craft beer–what could be better than combining these two passions for our Outciders event? Come together for an evening in the beautiful Nature Area before winter descends and the cold weather keeps us indoors. With hard cider, hot dogs, s’mores and a bonfire, it’s bound to be a great time!
