Muncie, Indiana—The East Central Neighborhood Association will host their 42nd Annual Old Washington Street Festival on September 15 & 16. The festival features the architectural, cultural, and social heritage of Muncie’s Emily Kimbrough Historic District and surrounding neighborhoods and will run from 11am-7pm Saturday and 11am-5pm Sunday. Festivities will occur along Washington Street between Madison and Beacon and on side street intersections. The Muncie Maker’s Market will be in Madjax on Sunday, September 16.
Visitors can enjoy food (including our famous bean booth), local artisans, antiques, demonstrations and live entertainment such as Olde Wrestling, The Peach Pickers, Magic City Men, In Harmony’s Way, and Joe Shelton, and much more! Come, too, for the historic home tour from 12pm-5pm both days featuring homes built during Muncie’s gas boom era. New this year, is a classic car show and street dance with live music on Saturday, September 15- located in the 600-700 block of East Wysor Street. Come out and enjoy the fun. There’s truly something for everyone.
