Muncie, IN—Hopefully the worst day in a child’s life can be eased by a stuffed animal.  There are fifty, to be exact, to be delivered to the Muncie Fire Department for the purpose of lifting up the spirits of small children who have been traumatized by fire, accidents, or worse.

Collected in three weeks by the men and women of Exchange Club of Muncie, the ongoing project supports their belief of “Unity for Service.”  More stuffed zoos will be delivered to the Delaware County Sheriff’s Department.

Riding in the trunk of a deputy’s cruiser, they can be given to children whose parents ran afoul of the law, kids in accidents, or as rewards for doing the right thing at the right time. The program may expand.  As collections continue and donations start to arrive, the program may help the Muncie Police, County Fire Service, and Ambulance Service.

Those wishing to donate, may do so by sending checks or money orders to the Exchange Club of Muncie.  Signify “Zoo” in the memo line.
