Muncie, IN—The American Advertising Federation of East Central Indiana (AAF ECI) held its annual awards gala, the American Advertising Awards (ADDYs), on March 2, 2018. The gala honored advertising and creative excellence and was held at the Horizon Convention Center in Muncie, Ind. (See category winners below.)
This year’s entries included local and regional television spots, as well as digital and print entries created in 2017 by advertising agencies, businesses, individuals and Ball State University students in East Central Indiana. Winners were chosen by a panel of regional advertising professionals, based on innovation, creativity and originality. Ball State University took home top honors, earning a Best of Show award for their work on the “We Fly” brand launch.
The AAF ECI American Advertising Awards Competition is the local level of a three-tiered national competition. Winners from the local round will compete at the District 6 competition which includes entries from Indiana, Michigan and Illinois. From there, winners progress to the national stage held in Chicago, Illinois. Proceeds from the American Advertising Awards help support AAF ECI educational programs and public service projects, including student scholarships. The American Advertising Awards Competition is the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition for creative excellence.
