Muncie, IN – The Muncie Rotary Club, Muncie Sunrise Rotary Club and United Way of Delaware County has announced that nominations for the annual V!VA Awards, celebrating Very Important Volunteers, are now open.
The V!VA Award was created in 1993 as a gift to the community by the Muncie Rotary Club to recognize Delaware County’s proud volunteer heritage. The appropriately-named the “Very Important Volunteer Award” rewards, reinforces and encourages local volunteers to aspire to the Rotary motto of “Service Above Self.”
Up to five traditional V!VA Awards will be given to individuals who have demonstrated the highest level of volunteer activity to serve the civic and social needs of our community. In addition, The Edmund F. Ball Lifetime Achievement Award will be given for outstanding long-term, lifetime volunteer commitment. All individuals who live or work in Delaware County are eligible. Nomination forms, which detail eligibility criteria and nomination guidelines, can be found at www.muncierotary.org. Nominations are due by March 9th.
This year marks the 26th anniversary of the V!VA Awards. The awards presentation will take place on Tuesday, April 17th at noon at the Horizon Convention Center. Prepaid reservations for the luncheon will be taken until April 6, 2018.
