Muncie, IN – Mike Bartlett, CFP®, Staff Accountant with Whitinger & Company in Muncie, Indiana has been authorized by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards (CFP Board) to use the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and CFP® certification marks in accordance with CFP Board certification and renewal requirements. Mr. Bartlett joined Whitinger & Company earlier this year and is responsible for a variety of professional accounting roles including tax planning, tax preparation, auditing, and overall client service.
Bartlett graduated from the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in Accounting. Before joining Whitinger & Company, Mike served as a financial advisor at Valeo Financial Advisors in Indianapolis. In this position, Mike received extensive experience in evaluating and configuring cash flows and analyzing tax returns. Mike was also a professional hockey player for seven years in the United States, Austria, and Denmark after graduating from Notre Dame. He plans to complete his Master’s Degree at Ball State University with the goal of becoming a CPA. Mike lives in Muncie with his wife and two children.
The CFP® marks identify those individuals who have met the rigorous experience and ethical requirements of the CFP Board, have successfully completed financial planning coursework, and have passed the CFP® Certification Examination covering the following areas: the financial planning process, risk management, investments, tax planning and management, retirement and employee benefits, and estate planning. CFP® professionals also agree to meet ongoing continuing education requirements and to uphold CFP Board’s Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility, Rules of Conduct, and Financial Planning Practice Standards.
